Leadership coaching
Individual coaching for leaders who want to strengthen their self-leadership, set healthy boundaries and develop a sustainable way of handling pressure and responsibility.
Leadership roles carry a structural asymmetry. You are expected to hold steadiness for a team, absorb uncertainty from above and make consequential decisions on incomplete information — while rarely having a place where you can think out loud without it immediately becoming news. Many leaders describe that less as pressure than as isolation, and it is one of the least discussed costs of a senior role.
Coaching creates that place. We work on self-leadership — knowing your own patterns under load well enough to interrupt them — and on boundaries that hold without hardening into rigidity. Recurring themes include the accumulated weight of decision fatigue, carrying responsibility for people and results at the same time, distinguishing what is genuinely yours to solve from what you have simply absorbed, and finding a form of availability that does not quietly run you into exhaustion.
Sessions run for 60 minutes by video, in English or German. Some leaders come for a single conversation at a decision point; others work with me over several months through a demanding phase. What is discussed stays between us. Where an organisation arranges and funds the coaching, it receives confirmation that agreed sessions were used and nothing whatsoever about their content.
My approach is systemic and evidence-based, drawing on positive psychology, mindfulness-based stress reduction and nervous-system regulation including Somatic Experiencing®. That last element matters particularly at senior level, because sustained strain rarely announces itself in thoughts first: it shows up as shortened sleep, thinner patience, or the sense of running an engine that never quite drops to idle. Learning to read those early signals is a leadership skill, not a soft extra.
Coaching is not performance advice and it is not a substitute for the strategic conversations you have with peers. It is deliberately protected time to think about how you are doing the work, and at what cost. If the theme is relevant for your leadership team more broadly, individual coaching combines well with the group formats set out on the For Organisations overview. The starting point is the same either way: a free 15-minute discovery call, which you can arrange through the contact page.
